KW AccessAbility Activities September 22 to 30
Save The Date - Tuesday September 30 - 12:30 to 2:30 - Lunch 'n' Learn with a guest from the City of Kitchener.
Katherine Ridel will be here to talk about next year's municipal election and to hear your feedback and desires on accessible voting.
As we transition to a weekly newsletter through our new website, this email is going to be adjusted to feature the activities coming up in two weeks at the top (so those who take MobilityPLUS can book early) and a reminder of the current week activities below that.
Our new website launches next week, with a fresh new look. We'll cover more of that next week and in an upcoming Lunch 'n' Learn.
Please let the office know which events you are planning to attend so that we can plan accordingly!
You can either call the office at 519-885-6640 or reply to this email!
This is what's coming up next week and to the end of September.....
Tuesday September 23
6:00 pm to 10:00 pm - Toronto Blue Jays vs Boston Red Sox - Join us in the KWA office to watch the game on our Big Screen. We'll have hot dogs (the big ones that hang way over the ends of the bun), can you say chili dog?, beverages, popcorn and other snack foods.
Wednesday September 24
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm - Wii Bowling Group Two - It's an afternoon of Wii Game Console Bowling fun on our Big Screen. As we have a lot of members participating, there are 2 different groups, each bowling every other week. There are still spaces available in Group 2. Let the KWA office know if you would like to join us and try your hand at this popular activity. (Next Date for Group 2 is October 8).
Monday September 29
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm - KWA Café Coffee Shop (at the KWA Office) - We turn the office into a Coffee Shop. Come out to socialize with friends and peers here, instead of at an expensive Coffee Shop. We have coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks available. There will also be a different baked treat each week (like cookies or scones). We've also added things like cheese & crackers and fruit occasionally. Cost is just $2.00. If you can't join us in the office, you can still connect with your friends via Zoom. Click Here to connect on Zoom. Our original virtual Café is still open and on our Big Screen so that office participants can interact with you!
