KW AccessAbility Activities April 20 to 24
The most unique thing about our Recreation Programme is that it is Member Driven. This means that our members get together monthly to decide on the following months event schedule. The Planning Meeting for May is this Thursday April 16 from 1 to 3 pm. Please join us in person or on Zoom to help decide which events we’ll offer in May and choose times that best fit your schedule. So far, event planning has been guided by a smaller group of members, and we’d love broader input. Our goal is to plan activities at times when as many people as possible can attend.
Tickets are now available for our 3rd Annual Fundraising Helicopter Golf Ball Drop! You could win $10,000 if your ball lands closest to the pin. To find out how to purchase tickets, contact the KW AccessAbility Office. Detailed info can be found here.

Monday April 20
Tuesday April 21
12:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Our cooking group is a facilitated, hands on event. Members prepare the ingredients, then make and enjoy the finished recipe. We are going to re-visit making the terrific cupcakes we prepared a short time ago. The peanut butter icing was such a hit and we didn't make very much the first time, so we're going to do it again! There are a lot of different kinds of teas that many of our members have never tried, so we are also going to do some Tea Tasting. Event cost is $5.00.
Wednesday April 22

It's an afternoon of Wii Game Console Bowling fun on our Big Screen. As we have a lot of members participating, there are 2 different groups, each bowling every other week. There are still spaces available in Group 2. Let the KWA office know if you would like to join us and try your hand at this popular activity.
3:00 pm - 6:30 pm
To celebrate National Baseball Day, you can watch the Toronto Blue Jays play the Los Angeles Angels on our big screen. We'll have hot dogs, beverages and other stadium style food. Event Cost is $5.00.

At the KWA Office (and on Zoom) - This is our version of Name That Tune!. You may listen to music all the time, but do you know the song title and artist who made the recording? We play the first few seconds of a song to see if you do or if it just "Sounds Familiar". See how much you know about songs from the 50s right into the 2000s. Free event with coffee, soft drinks and snacks included. Click Here to join on Zoom.
