KW AccessAbility Activities January 12 to 16

Happy New Year!

We have had another minor water flooding problem in the building where our office is located. Unfortunately the water damage was in the washrooms and kitchen. There is no access to the men's washroom and the women's is temporarily a unisex washroom. All scheduled events are still happening this week. If you would rather join us on Zoom for the Planning Meeting on Tuesday January 6th that's okay too. Games Day - Bingo! on Thursday January 8th will be in office and online on Zoom as scheduled. 

We are still waiting for timelines on repairs so some events next week may have their content adjusted.

For those of you who have to visit Service Canada in person, some good news! Service Canada has re-located the Kitchener-Waterloo Office to Waterloo Town Square, 75 King Street S. Waterloo. You can find more information on their website by clicking on the links above. The Service Canada Cambridge Office is located at 299 Hespeler Rd #104, Cambridge.

Monday January 12

KWA Café Coffee Shop

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
At the KWA office and on Zoom - It's Back! We're turning the office into a Coffee Shop again. We're turning the office into a Coffee Shop again. After a great holiday break, let's get together and talk about what you did for the holidays with your KWA friends and peers. We have coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks available. Our Baked treat this week is Raspberry Filled Croissants. We'll also have cheese & crackers. Cost is just $2.00. If you can't join us in the office, you can still connect with your friends via Zoom. Tuesday January 13

In The Kitchen

12:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Our cooking group is a facilitated, hands on event. Members prepare the ingredients, then make and enjoy the finished recipe. Cost is $5.00. While the plan is to make a hearty stew, we will be talking about alternatives at the planning meeting, in case we aren't able to use the kitchen.

Wednesday January 14

Wii Bowling Group 2

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
It's an afternoon of Wii Game Console Bowling fun on our Big Screen. As we have a lot of members participating, there are 2 different groups, each bowling every other week. There are still spaces available in Group 2. Let the KWA office know if you would like to join us and try your hand at this popular activity.
