We are currently in the midst of having our office repaired following water damage from the stormy day on the holiday weekend. All events, other than Wed Aug 5, are going ahead as planned. We will let you know if anything changes.
There is an issue with our website calendar, so details about next week's events are currently only available in this newsletter.
Registration is required for all of our events so please contact the KW AccessAbility Office at 519-885-6640 or email our summer staff to let us know which events you will be attending.
Monday August 10
Pub Night at Edelweiss Tavern
5:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Visit Edelweiss Tavern for a relaxed pub night in Kitchener. This local spot offers a welcoming atmosphere, homemade tavern favorites, and a good place to gather for dinner and conversation. Tuesday August 11
Campfire at Bingemans Campground
5:30 pm to 10:00 pm
KWA members are invited to a gathering around a campfire at Bingemans. It only happens once a year and is one of our most popular events. Join us to roast hot dogs and marshmallows over an open fire, make delicious s'mores, sing songs, and enjoy a great evening. All this just for $5 for our members. Bingemans is at 425 Bingemans Centre Dr, Kitchener (MobilityPLUS drop off at Marshall Hall)
Wednesday August 12
Wii Bowling
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Join us for an afternoon of Wii Bowling fun on our Big Screen, exclusively for KWA members! Enjoy friendly competitions, share a few laughs, and connect with fellow members. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or a first timer, everyone is welcome!
Thursday August 13
Gliding at Toronto Soaring Club
10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Take to the skies with your fellow KWA members and experience the unforgettable thrill of silent flight with the Toronto Soaring Club. Soar above the countryside, take in breathtaking views, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind adventure. There is no cost for members, however those wishing to participate need to have their own transportation to the soaring club and must meet certain weight and transfer requirements. Please call the office for more information and to register for this event. This event is weather dependent and could be changed to a later date if conditions are not suitable for gliding.
