Here's What's Happening October 5 to 12
Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest will be in full swing by the end of next week. The City of Kitchener has the Official Keg Tapping on Friday October 9th at Noon at City Hall. Willkommen Platz – “Welcome Place” a bustling Bavarian village takes over King Street from Kitchener City Hall to Queen Street Friday October 9th to Sunday October 11th.
The annual Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade takes place on Monday October 12 starting at 9:30 am from the corner of Weber and Frederick in Kitchener. The parade route follows Weber Street to Bridgeport Road in Waterloo.

Travel agent and friend of KWA, Richard Kaufman will be here to provide an update on the upcoming Caribbean Dream Cruise for our members, families and friends. There are still limited spaces available if you've ever dreamed of feeling the warm Caribbean sun on your face while relaxing on a cruise, but thought it might be out of reach! There are also accessible excursions available to help you enjoy the sights and sounds of the islands we visit. This information session will help you learn how your dream could become a reality. It's an afternoon of Wii Game Console Bowling fun on our Big Screen. During the summer, Wii Bowling will be less frequent and the sessions will be open to both regular groups and anyone interested in trying the game.
Thursday October 8
In The Kitchen - Thanksgiving Food Prep
12:00 pm to 3:30 pm
We're getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving with an afternoon of preparing the fixings to go with the Turkey! In The Kitchen is a facilitated, hands on event where our members prepare the food.
Friday October 9
Thanksgiving Dinner
4:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Our members are invited to celebrate the fall bountiful harvest with a Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner and all the fixin's ! It's a great social occasion to enjoy good food with good friends. Event cost is $5.00.
